Add links to social medias

On Skipperblogs you can manage a list of links to social networks (or simple external links) that will be displayed on your website.

Where are the links displayed ?

The display may vary depending on the theme you are using. Links are usually displayed as icons in the header and/or footer of your site.

You can also add the Social networks widget to the sidebar or footer.

Links list

Go to DashboardModules Social network links.

On the left you have the list of links currently enabled on your website and on the right a form to add new ones.

Add a new link

Use the form on the right and enter a title and a URL. The link title can be displayed, but if your theme only displays icons, the title will be displayed when hovering the link.

Click on Add to save your new link.

Special links

If you want to add a link to a phone number, here is the format to use tel:0012346789; this will indicate the browser that it should open this number in the default phone application

Similarly, for links to an email address, enter the format mailto:info@your-site.fr and the browser will open the default mail application.

For Whatsapp number, use this format https://wa.me/0033XXXXXXXXX (don't use the format https://wa.me/+33(XXX)XXXXXXX), and the Whatsapp application will open with one click.
