How to manage comments posted on my website ?

Feedback allows your visitors to provide feedback on your articles. If you choose to enable comments on your site, a comment form will appear in articles to allow viewer to respond to what you have written.

You fully control comments left on your site. To view and manage comments, go to DashboardContentComments  .


Comments list

You can filter the list according to the status of the comments:


  • Approved comments are visible on your website
  • To moderate comments are pending your review (they have been submitted but not yet visible on your website).
  • Spam are unwanted comments (either marked by yourself or by the system) and are not visible on your website.
  • Mine are all comments/response you have written.




Are comments directly published ?

By default, comments are published on your website as soon as their are submitted. You can choose whether new comments posted on your site are automatically published or whether they must wait for your green light. Go to your site settings DashboardSettingsParameters   under Comments tab. The option Moderation of comments define the policy to apply to new comments. If checked, new comments will have the status To moderate and will not be visible on your website until you approve them. If the option is unchecked, new comments will be automatically published.

Approve (publish) a comment

If a comment is pending publication, it appears in the comments list with the status . Clic on the green button below the comment to approve it and publish it on your article.



Delete a comment or mark as SPAM

If you feel that a comment is not legit, you can report it as Spam by clicking on the   button. You can permanently delete a comment by clicking on the button.



Answer a comment

To post a reply to a comment, click the  button. A text field will appear allowing you to enter your answer text. Clic the green Reply button to publish your answer. It will appear hierarchical as a response to the original comment. If an email address has been provided with the comment, a reply notification will be sent to this address.



Edit a comment

You can edit the text of a comment.Click the button  button to edit the text. Once the text is changed, click the Save button to publish the changes.


Find a comment

If your site contains a lot of comments, it can be useful to search in all comments of your site to find a specific comment you are looking for. To search in your comments, use the search field at the top left of the comments list:


You can search for the author, title, content, date and title of the article where the comment appears. The list of comments will be updated as you type in this search field.
