For light updates throughout your adventure that isn't worth writing a blog post, you can use the logbook.
The logbook is intended to be used like your board logbook: Simple succinct and quick. Just a small text, a timestamp, a location, and eventually some navigation data. You can also add a picture.
To start your logbook, go on https://www.skipperblogs.com/dashboard/logbook
Where is the logbook displayed?
On the map as sidebar and/or on a dedicated page www.your-webiste.com/logbook
You can add a menu item that points to this dedicated page using the menu editor.
Adding geolocation
It is highly encouraged to add a location to your entries. That way your map will be enriched. Each geolocated log entry will be added as badge on the map.
How to hide the logbook from the map?
1. Go on DashboardNavigation Map (https://www.skipperblogs.com/dashboard/map-editor)
2. Click on Map tab and scroll to the bottom.
3. Uncheck the box Logbook enabled on the map
4. Click on Save on top of the panel
The logbook clutters the map
The logbook on the page can be closed by default. That means your website will load the map without the logbook sidebar and your visitor will have to click on a side link to open it.
1. Go on DashboardNavigation Map (https://www.skipperblogs.com/dashboard/map-editor)
2. Click on Map tab and scroll to the bottom.
3. Uncheck the box Logbook enabled on the map
4. Click on Save on top of the panel
